On Dec 12, the boys' basketball team started a new annual event. In a partnership with Alexander Montessori School, the Falcon student-athletes read holiday books to students in grades 1-3. Each PTS student read to two classes and answered questions about Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa. The Montessori students had a wonderful time, and our Falcon basketball players enjoyed reading and getting to know the kids. Coach Bloom even joined in on the fun, and read a Hanukah book to three different classes. Coach Bloom hopes to continue this service project annually.
On Thursday December, Ms. Morin, Mr. Du Feu, PTPA Community Service Committee, Activities Director Alex Cartaya and students hosted a Holiday Dinner for the residents at Chapman Partnership. The group took over 100 toys, collected from the PTS communittee, to distribute to the children at the shelter. Thank you to alumni parents, the Lombardos, who donated dinner from their restaurant Mamma Mia. The party entailed Christmas carols by Kati Morin '26 and a guest appearance by Santa Du Feu.
We collected over 600 gifts to donate to Chapman Partnership, Branches, and Lotus House.
